Take a Stand.

Less than three months after accepting the position as laborer for the Philadelphia Sanitation Department, Terrill Haigler became an essential worker. To bridge the gap between residents and sanitation workers he created the Instagram page @_yafavtrashman to give residents an inside look as to what sanitation workers experience during the pandemic. When Terrill noticed that his co-workers didn’t have the proper PPE to execute their jobs safely he decided to stand in the gap and start a Custom Ink t-shirt fundraiser to purchase PPE, hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies. Catapulting him to Philly’s latest viral sensation.

Support Ya Fav Trashman on his 2 year anniversary.

To celebrate two years of action and advocacy, Ya Fav Trashman is launching a new fundraiser to pay the youth and young adults of Philadelphia to ride around with Ya Fav Trashman and pick up illegally dumped trash piles in and around the city!

“Having organized over 80 cleanups and picked up over 300 tons of trash over the last two years, my most valuable assets are hands. The more hands I have during a clean up the more trash we are able to pick up. Now that I have a hauling company I want to employ the youth and young adults of Philadelphia to help me clean the city. The youth in the city need something positive to do, so for me paying them to keep their community clean is a win-win. Studies show that when a community is cleaned crime reduces by 30%. I want to do my part and making sure that the youth stays out of trouble but also that Philadelphia gets clean. Two years ago I was able to sell 2000 t-shirt, so this year I have to double that and sell 4000 t-shirts.”
